Frankie Beverly and Maze

Birth name Howard Beverly, Frankie Beverly began his career as a member of “the Butler” music group. After 8 years Frankie Beverly decided to part from the group and reinvent himself. Frankie worked hard at becoming a soul musician. He learned to play the rhythm guitar and keyboards. Later, Frankie formed “Raw Soul,” a funk band. The group performed and recorded at the local level before receiving a big break from Marvin Gaye as the opening act as well as back up band for his tour. This break would lead the group to a Capitol Records deal and name change from “Raw Soul” to “Maze,” thus forming the astounding “Maze featuring Frankie Beverly.”

Frankie Beverly and Maze have record many albums including: Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly; Golden Time of Day; Inspiration; Joy and Pain; Live in New Orleans; We Are One; Can't Stop the Love; Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly Live in L.A.; Silky Soul; Back to Basics; Southern Girl and Rebel for Life.

Today, nearly 30 hit singles later, nine top ten hits, and eight gold records, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly is still going strong. They continue to daze audiences with the deliverance of clean, creative, soulful performances for all occasions around the world.
